I was working in my garden listening to you reflect on the first wave of podcasting which of course I remember as well. Like you said, lots of it gone gone, though I would add, Im glad some of it went away.. especially that whole attempt at making it about celebrity and glamour. Interestingly as a fan of comedians from shows like tough crowd, snl, etc… there is boom going on among comedians for having podcasts. SOme are quite good, some are amazingly bad for people who usually are fantastic on stage or behind a mic. (Jay Mohr, Joe Rogan, Bob Kelly.. to name three) Maybe you’ve noticed this, I just thought to mention it. Another boom in podcasting among a very different group. Which will probably pass as well, leaving a few gems behind.
